Katherine Heigl admits that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this experience impacted how she cared for her adoptive, multiracial children. In an interview with the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her body didn't matter to her. But after talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society was treating them, she became conscious of the differences the two were. "I I asked my sister Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she went going out with us parents, and another way when she went out by herself without them. Meg replied "Oh I do, each and every moment!" It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. The actor said she became angry but felt she needed use that anger to aid adopt her daughters. Heigl along with her 13-year-old husband -- the musician Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. They adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion in 2009.
