Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976 at Beaumont Puy in Domme. Audrey's parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at a young stage. Their support was enough to overcome her original goal of becoming a an animal scientist. The rise was swift for her to become a famous young actor. Before she began to pursue the acting profession, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers a French television show that sought to find talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of The award for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Though she was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. Along with her acting career, she pursued a modelling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on celebrity and fame, and then turns her camera to the media who sat on her shoulders when she exploded to fame with Amelie as well as several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring as a lead character in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around the globe. It's the highest-grossing French film made in America. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou was later cast in numerous films, which included British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
